Forensic DNA Continuing Education Day 2026

The Applied Genetics Group in the Biomolecular Measurement Division of NIST invites local forensic DNA practitioners to attend a one-day continuing education meeting on forensic DNA typing. 

The purpose of continuing education (CE) in the FBI's Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) for forensic DNA testing is to ensure that technical personnel, examiners, and leaders remain current on the latest technology, practices, and developments in the field. It is a mandatory requirement to maintain proficiency, enhance skills, and uphold the quality of scientific analysis.  

2025 QAS - STANDARD 16.1 The laboratory shall have and follow a program to ensure technical qualifications are maintained through participation in continuing education.
