Tue, May 14, 2013

The deadline for submitting applications for IBBR 2013 high school intern positions is Friday, March 15, 2013. IBBR is supporting a limited number of internship positions as part of the Montgomery County Public School DNA Resource Center program. The internship program provides highly motivated students the opportunity to work with mentors and explore careers in the fields of science, information technology, and business administration. Each student is mentored by an IBBR faculty and/or staff member and spends time alongside graduate and undergraduate students as well as post-doctoral trainees and staff. The program concludes with a poster session at which students present a poster on their research and work during their internship at IBBR.

To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a Montgomery County Maryland high school and be able to provide documentation showing authorization to work in the US. Among the items required for application are an essay, a copy of transcripts, and two teacher recommendations. For more information and to apply visit http://work.ibbr.umd.edu/.
