IBBR Launches BioNEXUS Magazine

Wed, Dec 4, 2019

December 11, 2019 -- The Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR) is pleased to share the first issue of a new magazine, BioNEXUS.

BioNEXUS highlights IBBR's efforts to advance understanding of the structure and function of complex biomolecules and applications of this knowledge to important biomedical and life science challenges, including the detection, prevention, and treatment of disease.

"The name 'BioNEXUS' reflects how our academic and federal researchers from across our partnering institutions work together, and with industry collaborators, toward transformative discoveries in fields of biotechnology," says IBBR Director Thomas Fuerst.

The inaugural issue of BioNEXUS includes feature stories about new cryo-EM capabilities at IBBR, the Institute's wide-ranging programs in vaccine and therapeutic development, and NIST researchers' continued work on an intricate reference material called the NISTmAb, as well as overviews of IBBR's translational research activities and energy savings initiatives.

The magazine is posted here: www.ibbr.umd.edu/bionexus

We hope you enjoy the read; please feel free to share BioNEXUS widely, using the link above.
