Njar Honored with David J. Ramsay Entrepreneur of the Year Award

October 26, 2021 - Dr. Vincent Njar, IBBR Fellow and Professor, University of Maryland School of Medicine, was awarded the 2021 University of Maryland, Baltimore Founders Week David J. Ramsay Entrepreneur of the Year for his significant discoveries in the development of novel therapeutics for breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancers.  His contributions include the design, discovery, and clinical translation of the CYP17 inhibitor galeterone for the treatment of cancer.  Because of its clinical efficacy, galeterone and subsequent variants continue to be developed as novel therapeutics.

Founders Week Award
