Dr. Eunkyoung Kim is an Assistant Research Professor at the Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR), University of Maryland. Her research focuses on Redox Systems Engineering, developing electrochemical and optical technologies that translate complex biological redox networks into measurable electronic information.
By combining advanced measurement technologies with data analysis and AI/ML, her laboratory aims to better understand how redox processes influence biological functions and human health.
Her research spans four areas: Materials Science, Cellular Biology, Biomanufacturing, and Medical Science, with applications ranging from redox-active materials and cellular physiology to biopharmaceutical production and oxidative stress-related diseases.
