Dr. Eisenstein will begin his four-year leadership term this July, serving first as president-elect, followed by two years as president, and concluding as past president. His innovative and wide-ranging research experience, combined with his prior leadership on ASBMB committees, uniquely positions him to help guide the society into the future.
Reflecting on this honor, Dr. Eisenstein shared, “I can’t express how honored and grateful I am to be recognized by my peers and chosen to lead this over-a-century-old learned scientific society. Previous presidents have been a who’s who in biochemistry and molecular biology, and it is such a privilege to help shape the future of the organization, the field, and science, especially now, when scientific societies are more important than ever to articulate the indisputable value of foundational research.”
We celebrate this achievement and look forward to Dr. Eisenstein’s impactful leadership as he helps advance the society’s mission of empowering a broad community of scientists to advance discovery and catalyze the infinite potential of molecular life science.
